"Wow damn, I can t believe its been over a month in half since last post. One thing I am learning now, is the longer you wait to properly take care of a burn out, the harder it is gonna get. As someone with multiple diagnosis, I am not really in a good health generally, even if I might look like it. Having, for example, normal level of energy to do normal things, can require a lot, lot, of work daily. My depression got much better last year, but I have known since last summer that I needed some proper time for myself that doesn t involve work, finances or showing up for others. I was planning to take some time off in January, just for myself, in the sun, for once. But the pandemic got harder, lockdown started again, money got tighter, and obviously, traveling was not an option. My living situation at the same time became kind of a living hell, not giving me the safe space and peace I needed. Add to this, the super long and cold winter in Ontario (like its still feeling -10°c today), that would do it. So now, reality is hitting me hard in the face. I m really burned out. I have been through so many breakdowns lately, and found myself incapable of taking proper care of myself, that at some point I just wanted to be at the hospital for a week so I wouldn t have to cook and clean and deal with everything. On the good days, I m like yeah let s go,gonna do so much shit, show up for everyone , which is just me being in denial of the reality of my situation. But it just trapped me more into that cycle where, I rest and then give the little bit of energy I have, right away,.to everyone but me but me, just to get back into a deeper exhaustion everytime. So now, even with the good news of having my own place, this is doing it. I don t have the answer, or a solid plan, all I want right now is spend 10 days alone naked on the beach and smoke weed. (So if I m not into TFP, its not because im greedy, its because my energy is most precious, and pictures of me can t give it back) I wish to feel better soon, and to do more work, but I m gonna try to respect and put myself first. Looking to create more art this year and meet more people ☀️ Talking about creating, in the light of the new restrictions affecting my main work heavily, it may clear my schedule quite a bit for the next few weeks.
